Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
SnapTools (snaptools.io) is operated by Keerthi Ragi, doing business as SnapTools, in Riverview, Florida. In this policy, "we", "us" and "SnapTools" mean that operator. You can reach us at hello@snaptools.io.
2. Your files stay in your browser
SnapTools tools process your files and text on your own device, inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (usually F12), go to the Network tab, use a tool, and look at the requests. You will not see your files being sent anywhere.
For honesty, here is everything that does leave your browser while you use the tools:
- Libraries are downloaded, not uploaded. Some tools (PDF toolkit, Redact PDF, Image watermark, Invoice generator, Spreadsheet compare) fetch open-source code libraries from the cdnjs content delivery network when the page opens. That sends a request for the library; it does not send your files.
- Link organizer favicons. To show a small site icon next to each link, the Link organizer asks Google's favicon service (
www.google.com/s2/favicons) for the icon, which includes the website's domain name (for exampleexample.com) for each link you add. The full link and its title are not sent. - Analytics and sign-in, described below, which never include your files or their contents.
3. Data we collect
Sign-in email
You do not need an account to use the free tools. If you sign in (to use a plan you bought), we ask for your email address and send you a sign-in link and code. Our sign-in provider, Supabase, stores your email address and the technical records needed to sign you in. There are no passwords.
Purchase and subscription records
When you buy a 24-hour pass, Pro or Lifetime, Stripe tells our server about the payment and we save a record in our Supabase database. The record contains:
- your email address (lowercased);
- what you bought and its status (for example active, cancelled, refunded);
- Stripe's identifiers for the customer, subscription, checkout and payment;
- for one-time purchases, the amount and currency, and the start and expiry times;
- the account identifier of your sign-in, once you have signed in with the same email; and
- created and updated timestamps.
This is how we know to unlock the tools for you. We use it for nothing else.
Analytics
Some pages load Google Analytics 4 (see the list below). Besides Google's standard page-view measurement, which includes technical information such as your approximate location, browser and device, and which Google Analytics stores using cookies, our own code sends these events:
| Event | What it contains |
|---|---|
| limit_banner_shown | which tool (its page name) and whether a daily or size limit was hit |
| upgrade_clicked | where you clicked and which plan |
| checkout_started | which plan |
| checkout_success | which plan, when you return from payment |
| signin_started, signin_completed | nothing else |
| pro_detected | which plan you have, at most once per browser session |
We never put email addresses, file names or file contents in these events.
Information stored in your browser
These are saved on your own device, not on our servers:
| Name | What it is |
|---|---|
snap_usage_v1 | (local storage) daily use counts per tool, used to apply the free daily limits; resets each day |
sb-…-auth-token | (local storage) your sign-in session, created by the Supabase library when you sign in; removed when you sign out |
wh_clips | (local storage) the snippets you save in the Clipboard manager tool; they stay on your device |
wh_streak | (local storage) your Focus timer streak |
snap_pro_seen_…, snap_checkout_success | (session storage) one-time flags so analytics events are not repeated in the same session; cleared when you close the tab |
You can delete all of these at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings. Our own code does not set cookies; Google Analytics does (see above).
Server logs
The server that processes Stripe payment notifications writes operational logs. When it records a purchase, those logs can include the buyer's email address, as well as Stripe identifiers, plan names and event types. Our hosting providers also process ordinary request information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and respond to requests.
4. Payments are handled by Stripe
Payments are made on pages hosted by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe collects your payment details and email and handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information listed under "Purchase and subscription records" above. Subscriptions are managed in Stripe's billing portal.
5. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend
The sign-in link and code are sent from our sign-in provider through Resend, an email delivery service. Resend therefore receives your email address and the content of the sign-in message.
6. Hosting and other third parties
These providers handle data for us or load on our pages. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
| Provider | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the website | All pages |
| Cloudflare | Runs our server code (Workers) that checks your plan and receives Stripe notifications; also serves libraries from cdnjs | Signed-in plan checks; the tools listed in section 2 |
| Supabase | Sign-in and our database of purchase and subscription records | Pages with sign-in: the home page, pricing, success page and tools |
| Stripe | Payments, subscriptions and the billing portal | When you buy or manage a plan |
| Resend | Delivers sign-in emails | When you ask for a sign-in link |
| Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager | Usage analytics | Home page, pricing, success page, the 15 tool pages, and the guide pages under plain addresses such as /json-formatter-online. Not on these Terms and Privacy pages. The custom events listed above are sent only from the pages that have sign-in; the guide pages send Google's standard page-view measurement only. |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the fonts the pages use | All pages, including these |
| Google favicon service | Site icons in the Link organizer (domain names only) | Link organizer tool |
These Terms and Privacy pages load only Google Fonts as a third party; they do not load Google Analytics or the sign-in code. The guide pages under plain addresses (for example /json-formatter-online) load Google Fonts and Google Analytics, but not the sign-in code, so they do not contact Supabase or our plan-check server.
7. How long we keep data, and deleting it
We have no automatic deletion. Your sign-in account and your purchase and subscription records are kept until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept by Google under the retention settings of our Google Analytics account. Stripe, Resend and Google keep their own copies under their own policies.
To ask us to delete your data, email hello@snaptools.io from the address you signed in or paid with. To protect your account, we reply to that same address to confirm before we delete anything. We then delete your sign-in account and the subscription and purchase records saved against your email, by hand, in our database, and tell you when it is done. Deleting our records does not cancel a subscription: cancel it first in the billing portal, or tell us to cancel it. Deleting the records also means we can no longer unlock a plan for you. You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct it.
Data in your own browser (the table in section 3) is under your control; clear it in your browser settings.
8. We do not sell personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers listed above, to run the service.
9. Children
SnapTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their email address, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, for example a new kind of data collection, we will say so on the site.
11. Contact
